• Robert A. Freitas Jr., lawyer, scholar in SETI, SETA, molecular nanotechnology, and nanomedicine.
• John M. Smart, Associate Professor, University of Advancing Technology, USA; President, Acceleration Studies Foundation
• Clément Vidal, post-doc researcher, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Free University of Brussels)

Note that a more specific selection committee might be set up to assess a more specific paper.
